and photographing the West
with Todd Korol
Wednesday, July 17 – 3:30 PM
This workshop will take you down your own photographic path of visual story telling. Telling a story with images, video and audio, Todd Korol will show you how he approaches the story of the Canadian west.
This will be an opportunity to think about your visual identity and look at new ways of story telling. This will look at how to create your own voice, which is the most important aspect of modern day photojournalism. This seminar will focus on using your camera equipment to create mood and atmosphere, approaching your subjects and getting accepted into their lives to document them intimately.
Participants will be taken through all stages of the process from shooting, to editing and sequencing your images to creating a thoughtful story telling narrative, and how to use all forms of media available to the modern day photographer to tell a complete story.
